FINALLY GOT AROUND TO IT

I don’t even remember how long it has been since I have been telling myself that I will paint my grille. Over 6 months for sure.. Finally went ahead and did it right after I got off work yesterday. Turned out perfect. I used Plastidip which I guess is the new thing.. and I can totally see why. It’s vinyl in a spray can.. How awesome is that shit? The key to getting the best results its patience and not over coating a layer. I did about 8-10 coats just to be safe from rock chips and what not. Make sure you allow the paint to dry completely each layer before applying another coat. The trick I used was having a hair dryer handy. I would do a thin coat, and dry it.. Then repeat until I get it to look even. Took me about 25 minutes to finish.. If you waited it out to dry then I am sure it will take you about 1-2 hours for 8-10 coats. So yea… You now know what to do.. Have fun!

I also painted my interior trims.. I will have some more photos of that over the weekend.

CONGRATS TO THE GRADUATES

After Elissa’s graduation, Tony of TNT Auto Body put together a small BBQ for her and our homie Moe. Nothing tops barbecue, booze and good company.

CONGRATULATIONS ELISSA!

The day has finally come. Elissa has finally graduated from CSUS and I could not be more proud. I have witnessed first hand the amount of hard work, effort and dedication she has put in towards her diploma. I have been with her late nights studying and doing homework many times… and I mean late as in the sun is about to rise type late. In my eyes, nobody deserves this more than she does. Nobody will ever understand the amount of stress she has endured with juggling school, work, modeling, being a mother, and of course dealing with all my shit. I say no one can understand cause being that I have been there for her through out everything, even I have a hard time understanding. I am super happy for her and most definitely proud of her. Congratulations Elissa, you did it!

Not sure what you were thinking at this very moment.. Maybe just posing to take a goofy photo but as soon as I seen this, the first thing that came to my mind was your dad. If only he was here today to see his little girl graduate college.

JOEY DIAMOND DROPS BY

Mr. Joey Diamond dropped by today to brainstorm on some ideas for a future collab we have been planning to do for the longest. Our schedules have never matched up so none of our meetings have fell through so I am glad that we were finally able to link up and take the first step into this project. The beginning first couple of meetings are always the most difficult. If you are a designer, then you would know. Coming up with original ideas is not easy at all. Drawing inspiration from others  always ends up looking too much what the inspiration was drawn from.. It’s not intentional, it’s just your subconscious doing its job.

If you don’t know Joey, he’s a talented vocalist that has gained his fame from YouTube. Check out his channel here.

A RATHER SLOW THURSDAY

A VISIT TO STUSSY

I met up with the guys at District after I dipped from school to head back out to San Francisco to hit up our appointment with Stussy to look over their winter line. It was dope to check out all the products they had lined up for winter along with products from UNDFTD and Us Versus Them. It’s definitely an awesome opportunity for me to be able to sit in during these showings because I learn so much from them. Not only about the products it self or the brand, but the whole process behind retail in the street-wear industry. I want to be able to learn all the inner workings of the business before I dive right in.

Some say that blind leaps are the ones to chase after but shit.. I’m not with that. I want to know all the specifics and details before I take a plunge because there will always be that small chance that you won’t make it back up.
